BIKE MARKING SUCCESS

#VisibleLocalTrusted | Local PCSOs were out across the district last week, engaging with the community and helping to keep bicycles safer. A fantastic 45 bikes were security marked during the latest session — a brilliant turnout and a big thank‑you to everyone who took part!

🔍 What is Bike Marking?

Bike marking is a simple but effective way to protect your bicycle from theft. Using a unique code that links your bike to you, officers register the details on a secure national database. If your bike is ever lost or stolen, this increases the chances of it being identified and returned. It also acts as a strong deterrent to thieves who know marked bikes are much harder to sell on.
